Compared to my experience, this portfolio was similar. I originally started out not knowing exactly what to write or expect and even messed up and wrote something completely useless for this project and did the same when I was volunteering. A couple of times I put the wrong food item or product in the wrong barrel or mislead someone to putting something in the wrong barrel and like with what I did with my mistake in the portfolio I had to personally fix my own mistake. However unlike my project the mistakes that I made in my experience were easy to fix, because I made them early on. One major recurring them that I do see in the project and my experience is the reflecting aspect of it. Constantly in writing this portfolio and in my experience I was reflecting on what I was doing and what I was writing. Through this deep reflecting process I learned how much I actually learned. If I wouldn’t have reflected on what I did in my experience I’m not sure if I would have realized how much I witness and learned from this experience.

In the beginning of the project I felt neutral about writing and I still do, as far as service goes I have a whole new perspective on it and the people that work in the profession. Before this project I have only volunteered for small things like 2 or 3 hours here and there, but never with the same company, but now that I have I have a deeper understanding of the organization. I also first started writing about how little I knew about the organization and as time went buy I wrote more about what was actually going on around me. After doing this experience I appreciate the things I have more and am grateful for them and have more sympathy for those in need.
